Seminar content
Introduction to systemic thinking and acting
Experience the difference to classic leadership approaches: What does systemic thinking mean in concrete terms? What attitude is behind it? You will learn to recognize complex interrelationships and act in a goal-oriented manner.
Effect of system principles on organizations
Systems function according to certain principles: You will learn which basic systemic mechanisms are at work and how you can use them to work specifically on causes rather than symptoms.
Leadership versus management: Understanding the differences
Leadership acts on the system, management acts in the system. When is management needed and when is leadership needed, and what is the difference from a systemic perspective?
The importance of functions from a systemic perspective
Leadership works through structure. You will learn how functions differ from tasks and roles, what functional networks are all about, and why focusing on the mission is so crucial.
Recognizing stages of maturity & promoting them in a targeted manner
You will learn about the systemic stages of maturity and understand how to meet employees where they are – in order to promote them and help them develop effectiveness and experience real meaning in their work.
Systemic communication as a leadership tool
You will practice systemic questioning techniques, reflect on your impact as a conversation partner, and strengthen your ability to create clarity and connection in conversations—even in challenging situations.
Why systemic leadership?
Leadership with the Open System Model® (OSM) means:
- Clarity instead of chaos
- Structure instead of gut feeling
- Direction instead of actionism
What systemic leadership can achieve:
Less fluctuation
Employees experience meaning in their work and develop intrinsic motivation.
Reduced conflicts
Conflicts are resolved where they arise, allowing the entire system to mature
More orientation in times of change
Leadership becomes a stable force – even in rapidly changing conditions.
Targeted effectiveness
Interventions focus on causes, not symptoms – this increases effectiveness and saves resources.
Sustainable development instead of actionism
Understanding systemic relationships leads to solutions that address the root causes – and are sustainable in the long term.
